Viewsonic have this week unveiled a new tablet they have added to their range in the form of the new ViewSonic ViewPad 10e. The ViewPad 10e tablet has been designed for the budget conscious and is powered by a single-core 1Ghz Cortex A8 processor supported by 512Mb of DDR3 memory together with an internal storage supply of 4GB which can be expanded via microSD cards to 32GB if desired.
The ViewPad 10e tablet running is equipped with a 9.7 inch touchscreen IPS* (In-Plane Switching) LCD with a 1024 x 768 pixel resolution and will come supplied running Android 2.3 Gingerbread. Together with a selection of connections including : microUSB providing data transfer and power, a mini HDMI for 720p video output to your big screen HDTV, Bluetooth 3.0 and wireless connectivity.
The ViewPad 10e will be out from the beginning of November in the UK but prices have yet to be revealed, but expect it to be a lot lower than Apple’s iPad.
*IPS (In-Plane Switching) allows a far wider viewing angle than standard LCDs, as well as truer colour reproduction
