BizzTrust Virtualization Software Might Soon Be Available For Smartphones

8:00 PM

A lot of cool stuff goes on at the Fraunhofer Institute. No wonder the lab has been a fixture here at Geeky Gadgets for ages, whether it’s some super strong material or futuristic medical tool. But their latest innovation seems to have all the trappings of a hit. The whizzes over at Fraunhofer have just developed a virtualization Android  app that splits a smartphone in two different OSes. This is supposed to address the growing trend in corporate circles of maintaining information security on smartphones.

BizzTrust

It’s timely as well, since anyone with even just a passing interest in hacking knows smartphones are a favorite target these days. So here comes Fraunhofer to the rescue, virtually splitting phones into two separate smartphone OSes, each with customizable apps. Destined to be marketed for large corporations, the genius of this Android-based software is it partitions an OS into two exclusive spheres.

For greater convenience, the single smartphone from which both operate is accessible via a color code so that the user can choose which OS he/she needs at the moment. Remember, one is personal with its personal apps while the other is for business with its own accompanying boss-approved secure apps.

At the end of the day, the important thing is there now exists an active deterrent for smartphone hacking. The people at Fraunhofer have called it the BizzTrust and it won’t be available until some future date. It is, however, being showcased this week at the IT-SA Trade Show in Nuremberg.
