Chilisin posts 12% sales growth in 2Q12Patty Wang, Taipei; Steve Shen, DIGITIMES [Friday 6 July 2012]Chilisin Electronics, which makes inductors and power chokes, has announced consolidated revenues of NT$935 million (US$31.3 million) for the second quarter of 2012, increasing 12% from the previous quarter.

For June alone, revenues amounted to NT$292 million, down 9% on month but up 1.6% on year. The company attributed the sequential decline to inventory checks at clients.

Industry sources expect Chilisin to post a gross margin of over 20% in the second quarter of 2012 due to a relocation of its production lines of its plant in China. First-quarter gross margin stood at 18.2%, an improvement of 3pp from the previous quarter, according to company data.

Chilisin is conservative about the business outlook for the second half of 2012 due to global economic uncertainty, said the company, adding that its order visibility currently extends to only 1-2 months.
