Radiant reports record high revenues in June Rebecca Kuo, Tainan; Alex Wolfgram, DIGITIMES [Friday 6 July 2012]Radiant Opto-Electronics, a Taiwan-based maker of backlight units (BLUs), has set a new all-time record high in revenues during June at 7.68 billion (US$257 million), giving the company accumulated revenues at NT$21.3 billion during the second quarter.Radiant reported 9.78 million in notebook shipments, up 1.3 million units from May along with 80 million CCFL shipments and 5.83 million small- and medium-sized panel shipments.In addition, the company's backlighting and spare parts shipments both saw record highs, with backlighting at 12.31 million units and spare parts at 4.19 million.Radiant's June consolidated revenues were a 10.96% on-month increase and are expected to increase in the third quarter with growing tablet, smartphone and PC demand.
