Adam Hwang, DIGITIMES, Taipei [Friday 6 July 2012]Taiwan's June 2012 consumer price index (CPI) of 109.27 (2006 as base year) rose 0.64% on month and 1.77% on year, while the corresponding wholesale price index (WPI) of 110.52% decreased 1.06% on month and 1.70% on year, according to statistics released by the Directorate-General Budget, Accounting and Statistics (DGBAS) on July 5.For January-June 2012, the average CPI of 108.03 and average WPI of 112.24 rose 1.47% and 0.45% respectively on year, DGBAS indicated.
